National Anthem: Reactions Continue To Trail Reversal To ‘’Nigeria We Hail Thee’’ Version

Reactions have continued to trail the signing into law the bill that has now discarded the Arise O Compatriot’’ version for the ‘’Nigeria We Hail Thee’’ version of the National Anthem, barely 48 hours after it came into force.

The reintroduction of the old, now new national anthem written by a British woman Lillian Jean Williams, sparked mixed feelings among Nigerians.

While some have rejected it, others are learning to sing it since it has become an act of the national assembly which is binding on all.
