A 1967 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 brochure review

Описание к видео A 1967 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 brochure review

In this video I flick through a period brochure for the Triumph Spitfire Mk3 sportscar of 1967, my first car. In the late 1960s my late uncle drove a Mk2 Spitfire, and he collected this brochure in person from a British Leyland/Triumph dealer based in Manchester.
The Mk3 Spitfire had a 1296cc four-cylinder engine, driving the rear wheels. The coachwork was designed by Michelotti, while the chassis was heavily based on that of the contemporary Triumph Herald, although the Herald's chassis outriggers were replaced on the Spitfire by load-bearing sills (rockers) beneath the doors.
The details in the photographs within this brochure may also help anyone planning a restoration of a tired car.
