The Saints officially kick off their 2024 season Sunday at noon vs the Carolina Panthers.

For the third consecutive season, the Panthers have a new head coach and are fielding arguably the worst roster in the NFL. Byrce Young, the former #1 overall draft pick, is at a crossroads in his career, leaning a new system and proving that he is not a first round bust.

The Saints, however, have their own significant issues. After compiling a lackluster 16-18 record over the past two seasons, Head Coach Dennis Allen is under pressure from a disenchanted fanbase that craves change.

Derek Carr has become the face of this mediocrity, as fans are ready for change at that position as well.

Changing perceptions is the goal of both franchises, so tonight Bob Rose and Allen Ulrich will discuss who is most likely to do that beginning this Sunday.

Interestingly enough, the Saints have a 5 consecutive opening day game winning streak going on. This has mostly gone unnoticed, because of how the season has unraveled in October and November since 2020.

Important to note is that from 1967-1990, the Saints only had 5 opening day wins in franchise history -only 12 opening day wins from 1967-2005.
