Solo in Italy's Most Dangerous MAFIA City (Naples) 🇮🇹

Naples (Napoli) has a reputation for being perhaps Italy's most dangerous city. Given the links to the Mafia, known locally as the Camorra, this isn't the type of place you want to turn up in unprepared.

So of course, I arrived without a plan and set about on my solo adventure to explore the city, and see if it was really as bad as some people make out. Along the way, I learned that Napoli football club would be playing their final game of the season at home, in the legendary Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

Keen to experience the atmosphere - and see whether the tales about the mafia are indeed true - I headed to the stadium to buy a ticket, eat margarita pizza (at the source!) and enjoy a beer with the locals. Although goals were in short supply between Napoli and Lecce, it proved to be a memorable day in Italy's most dangerous mafia city.
