Pikes Peak, towering at 14,115 feet, has inspired explorers and pioneers for centuries. Known as "America's Mountain," it was first summited by European settlers in 1820. The view from the summit inspired Katharine Lee Bates to pen "America the Beautiful." The mountain is named after Zebulon Pike, though he never reached the top himself! The Pikes Peak Highway offers breathtaking views, and it’s one of the most visited mountains in North America.

Our journey also included the George Railway train ride, a beautiful and historic experience. This railway has been operating since the late 1800s, providing passengers with a charming route through Colorado’s rugged mountain terrain. Originally designed to carry tourists and goods, it remains a testament to the engineering marvels of the 19th century. The scenic views from the train are second to none!
