Shapes of Things - Gary Moore - guitar cover

Описание к видео Shapes of Things - Gary Moore - guitar cover

One of the first Gary Moore rock-era songs I listened to. Crazy shreddy yet melodic solo that is so apropos for Gary. Kind of a tricky solo as it's in mixolydian under three keys, but it demonstrates Gary's technical mastery of the guitar and theory. Used Logic's Stem Splitter on the 2003 Monsters of Rock performance of this guitar where Gary plays an Explorer. Rest in heaven, Gary.

Playing a 2013 Gibson Firebird with Seymour Duncan SM1 set. Maestro vibrola added to make it look more like a 63 Firebird. Played the Firebird to emulate the sharpness of the Strat that Gary would've played this on this song in the 80s. Marshall Vintage Modern 2266C profile on a Quad Cortex with a BD-2 for extra gain, Japanese CE-2 during the B section, and an EP Booster for the solos.
