ADF | Sports Program Samoa - Basketball

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) carried out a sports training program in Samoa from 18-23 March 2024. The program supported local sporting organisations with accredited training to enhance the delivery of their respective sports. This included accreditations in refereeing, coaching, sports training, first-aid, and strength and conditioning.

ADF partnered with the National Rugby League (NRL), Federation International Basketball Association (FIBA), International Federation of Touch Football (FIT) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA), to deliver the training with partner organisations in Samoa.

This program was a continuation of training and capability building that was previously delivered virtually by ADF in 2021. The program is part of the Australian Government Pacific ‘Team Up’ program.
