The Problem with Battlegrounds in TBC Classic
Same Faction Battlegrounds
Premade is the way to go, but if you’re not in a premade your chances of losing are super high
You need a certain resil to even get in a premade, so you need to lose all day for weeks to even get into a premade group.
Are the sweaty people ruining the game?
Losing games for weeks is a pretty awful barrier to entry into premades.
Alliance racials are really awful for PvP, the exception being escape artist and stoneform, but even still those are nothing compared to Hardiness and Will of the Forsaken.
Now that there can be same faction battlegrounds potentially, why not have everyone reroll to an orc or undead and you can just have orc undead players fight each other? That is an exaggeration, but who knows, with our current min-max trajectory, we might see it some day.
There used to be a point to rolling alliance: you get paladins so in PvE you have an easier time with threat, and arguable the best buffs in the game.
And in PvP you get actually decent queue times. But that’s soon going to change.
So the question is really:
1. Why play Alliance?
2. Why queue up for a battleground as a PUG or without a group?\


World of Hordecraft?
Wotlk fixes this with Every Man for Himself and Shadowmeld becoming usable in combat.
