Learn how to prepare Diwali Special pala puri recipe in Telugu. This recipe will look like mawa poori but taste wise both are 2 different recipes.

Paala Poori Recipe

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour : 1 Cup
Almonds : 1/4 Cup
Cashew Nuts : 1/4 Cup
Freshly Grated Coconut : 1/2 Cup
Milk : 1 Litre
Sugar : 3/4 Cup
A Pinch of Elaichi Powder
A Pinch of Salt
Ghee : 2 Spoons
Gold Drop Refined Sunflower Oil for Deep Fry

Cooking Process:
Prepare poori dough with wheat flour, water, ghee and salt. Let the dough rest for 30 mins
Soak almonds & cashew nuts for 30 mins. Blend the soaked almonds and cashews into a fine paste.
Now add grated coconut to this mix and blend it into a fine paste.
Pour milk into a vessel. Bring the milk to a boil and simmer till it reduces to three-fourths of its original quantity.
Add sugar, elaichi powder and almond + cashew + coconut paste and mix. Simmer it till the milk thickens. Pour this reduced milk into a wide-mouthed bowl.
Divide the dough into small lemon sized balls. Dust the working surface with some flour and roll out thin pooris.
Prick the pooris with a fork to avoid them from puffing up while frying.
Heat Gold Drop Refined Sunflower Oil for frying the pooris. Once the oil is hot, reduce the flame to medium and fry a poori. Once it is fried on both sides, remove with a slotted spoon and place it in the reduced milk.
Leave it for 5 - 10 seconds, then remove carefully and keep it aside.
Our paala poori is ready to serve.
