Parent involvement is very important for child success in life, and this is no different in music
lessons. Usually the students that do the best are the ones that the parents ask questions and are
interested in the process. I heard once that a child’s education is a 3 legged table, one leg is the teacher,
and the other is the parent, the third the student, if any of these legs are not working the table falls
down.

Check list for music lessons success:

*Be in the process by coming, and staying in the class.

*Video record the class for later review when practicing.

*Help the child practice at home. "Go to practice" might seem like a punishment when said to the kid. Practicing the piano can be a lonely activity, please help your child by accompanying her to practice.

Persist - learning an instrument is a gift for life, but like any other artistic discipline is a slow process, like going to school.
