You can clone an operating system-programs installed C: drive and install it into a completely different computer system (manufacturer, various interfaces like video, audio, printers, Internet and instead of crashing like I thought, Windows will adapt itself to the new hardware environment and sort of work (99%) so far. So if you buy a new Windows 11 computer but don't want to have to reload all your programs and move over all data stored on the C: drive, you could clone your old system and install that cloned drive into the new system and it might work! Windows can adapt itself to a new hardware environment. This is amazing to me as used not to be the case. Of course multiple "Check for Updates" are required and run SFC and ChkDsk more than once to be sure there are no terrible bugs but it does sort of work. Do at your own risk but if it does not work,, just reinstall the C: drive you took out of your new computer and no harm done.
