The distance we went from dhotrey to lepchajagat was 30km
Google It looked like it would take an hour but it took us longer Because we are going to enjoy the road trip.In between, I stopped on the road and braked several times. We came to Lepat from Dhotrey via Sokhiyapokhri The road is not good at all, it was all off road but it was a lot of fun doing this offroading.
Lepchajagat is a small village in the forest at an elevation of 6,956 feet (2123 meters) located. A lot of pine forest can be found here, Which is visited by many tourists throughout the year. 19 km away from Derjeeling situated on the route that connects Ghoom and Sukhiapokhari. Lepchajagat means "Lepcha tribe shelter" in the original language.
Here behind the pine trees when the clouds play the scene is truly a sight to behold.
While coming to the road, the call of several birds is heard which is mind-blowing, Among them, the calls of some birds are just like car horns. On the way you will see several old Land Rover cars that are quite old. There are few shops or houses on the road, so collect water bottles or necessary things in advance.
