Eilidh & Jonathan | Highlight Film | Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh

Back in September of 2022, I had the absolute pleasure of being able to capture Eilidh & Jonathan’s wedding in the heart of Edinburgh. I actually met up with these two back at the beginning of summer, as they had an engagement session at Dalmeny Park, to help them get a little more comfortable in front of the camera.

Fast forward a couple of months, to a stunning September day, and these two had their wedding with a large group of their closest friends and family. After a turbulent couple of years with limits on guests at weddings, these two were so excited to have as many of their nearest and dearest their with them on their special day.

As many people know, Scotland can be incredibly unpredictable with regards weather, which often doesn’t change even during the warmer, summer months. Thankfully for Eilidh & Jonathan, they managed to enjoy a gorgeous sunny and dry day for their wedding. After a beautiful ceremony at St Paul’s and St George’s Church in the city, they made the short walk up to the Royal College of Physicians for their reception. This venue is potentially one of the most aethstetic in the city, which made it the perfect spot to celebrate their day, and not to mention the amazing ceilidh that took place later on that evening!

We headed down into the Queen Street Gardens for their couple photos, where some stunning light was breaking through the trees. Later on in the evening, just before the sunset, they decided to sneak off down to the very well-know Circus Lane for some more couple photos, where they had the whole street to themselves, and even enjoyed practicing their first dance in one of the most picturesque spots in Edinburgh.
