How to Check Gas Bottle Level - Gas Bottle Level Indicator

How to check how much you've got left in your gas bottle:
1. Fill a bucket or large jug with hot tap water (more is better)
2. SLOWLY pour the water down one side only of the gas bottle
3. Run your hand down the same side of a gas bottle and feel for a change of temperature
4. The warm area near the top is empty and the cold area still has gas left
5. If you check and feel no difference, it may be that the checked gas bottle level is empty.
QUICK TIP: On a warm day you may see a line of condensation, especially during and after use, indicating the gas level without even using the hot water.

Be careful not to scald yourself with the hot water. Do NOT use boiling water when you check gas bottle level!

QUICK TIP:
The test works even better during or after you use one of your LPG appliances. For example, if you have LPG hot water, do the test right after someone takes a shower.
