The project ‘’While the wolf is not around’’ (Phase II), is focused on wildfires that the last
decades increase in EU noticeably. This topic enters the realm of interests of youngsters
and it employs by them as an issue of high social and economic significance. Therefore,
the project expands the cognitive, personal, social and professional horizons of them for
protection, prevention, treatment, exclusion and elimination of wildfires. Figuratively,
the “wolf” is the fire.
As a Youth Exchange in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, this project
deepened into the Youthpass certificate as a tool for the process and a strategy for the
fostering of documentation, recognition and validation of non-formal and informal
learning competences in the European youth field and solidarity activities as well as for
the confirmation of the participation and the description of the respective projects.
The participants understood the main ideas behind the Youthpass and its value to
enhance reflection on learning and competence development in youth work, receive
greater recognition of youth work throughout Europe, support the employability of
young people and youth workers, and promote active participation of young people.
Here, it is a toolkit, seen in a video, as a collection of authoritative and adaptable
information for the young participants enabled them to search further about the issue of
youthpass certificate and its value to document of their own learning outcomes, and
identified new learning approaches for a better recognition of it. Therefore, the toolkit
helped translate theory on youthpass into practice, and targeted at a broader audience
beyond the immediate participants for boosting them to take part in future mobilities.
