কক্সবাজারে আমাদের ২য় দিন আমরা গিয়েছিলাম রামু ঐতিহাসিক ১০০ফিট সিংহ শয্যা বুদ্ধ মুর্তি আর হাজার বছর পুরাতন রাংকুট বিহার দেখতে ৷

রামু ১০০ফিট সিংহ শয্যা বুদ্ধ মূর্তি ঃ
উত্তর মিঠাছড়ির পাহাড়চূড়ায় ১০০ ফুট লম্বা গৌতম বুদ্ধের সিংহশয্যা মূর্তি দেখে থমকে দাঁড়াতে হয়। স্থানীয়দের মতে, এটি এশিয়ার সবচেয়ে বড়। এর দুই কিলোমিটার দূরে অপূর্ব স্থাপত্যশৈলীতে নতুন করে নির্মিত হয়েছে কেন্দ্রীয় সীমাবিহার। কিছুটা দক্ষিণে নজরকাড়া লালচিং ও সাদাচিং বৌদ্ধবিহার। আশপাশে ছড়িয়ে–ছিটিয়ে আছে অসংখ্য ছোট-বড় বৌদ্ধবিহার।

রাংকূট বনাশ্রম বৌদ্ধ বিহার বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম প্রসিদ্ধ বৌদ্ধ বিহার। এই বিহারকে কেন্দ্র করে এক সময় এ অঞ্চলে বৌদ্ধ শিক্ষা ও সংস্কৃতির বিকাশ ঘটেছিল। মৌর্য বংশের তৃতীয় সম্রাট অশোক এটি স্থাপন করেন। অনেকের কাছে এটি রামকোট বৌদ্ধ বিহার নামেও পরিচিত।
