What you’re about to see is a traffic stop that takes a disturbing turn. Orlando police pull over a woman for what begins as a minor traffic violation. But here’s the twist—she’s pregnant.

Instead of a calm, controlled encounter, the situation quickly escalates. The woman questions the stop, resists getting out of the car, and the officers respond with force—dragging her from the vehicle and placing her under arrest.

Now, let’s talk about the law here.

First, officers do have authority to order you out of a vehicle during a traffic stop. That comes straight from the Supreme Court case Pennsylvania v. Mimms.

But here’s the catch: the force used must be reasonable and proportionate to the situation.

When someone is visibly pregnant, the stakes are even higher. Officers are expected to exercise restraint and avoid unnecessary risks.

In this case, instead of slowing things down and de-escalating, the officers escalated. And that decision not only put the woman at risk, but also her unborn child.
