Hundreds of years ago, the river Beas used to pass through this route. Then, for unknown reasons, it changed direction. Along the route of the ancient passage of the Beas river, archaeologists have found several sites where they are investigating. Harappa, Kot Diji etc. are prominent among them. The mound shown in this video is located at a distance of 10 km from Renala Khurd, just off Pir Di Hatti Road.
According to local people, there was a huge tower here which was destroyed. It is a popular tradition among the local people that in ancient times, there used to be a village "Kut Krore" near here which sank into the ground.
