Carrot Hot Dog?! Recipe // MoreSaltPlease

Ingredients:

1/4 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 TBS rice vinegar
1 tsp miso paste
1 tsp liquid smoke
2 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
4-5 carrots

Peel the carrots and cut them to the length of hot dogs. Boil them in water for about 8-10 minutes until fork tender, but not mushy.
Once carrots are fully cooked, run them under cold water to stop them from cooking any further.

Make the marinade by placing the remaining ingredients in a large plastic bag. Toss the carrots in and coat them well with the marinade. Place in the fridge to marinate for 1-2 days before cooking.

Cook the carrots in a pan over medium heat until browned on all sides and heated through. These can also be thrown on the grill at a BBQ!
