20 Weird Facts About World Cup MTB Racing: Unwritten Rules, Obscure Regulations

When we think of the rules for mountain bike racing, it seems like it should be fairly straightforward - the fastest rider up, down, or across the course is the winner. However, things aren't quite so simple! For a number of reasons, the official UCI rulebook is a long read. It covers everything from what riders can wear, how they set their bikes up, how courses are designed, and much, much more. Neil and Martyn flipped through it to pick out some of the weirder rules you can find buried within it, as well as point out some strange times in the past when riders have fallen foul of them!
