Farewell Mirage Las Vegas Walk - July 2024 - Las Vegas Strip

Join me on a farewell walk of The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mirage will be closing its door for good on July 17, 2024 to make room for the Hard Rock Las Vegas resort that will open in 2027. The Mirage opened in November 1989 as the world's most expensive resort at a cost of $630 million. The Mirage was the first mega resort on the Las Vegas Strip and started the mega resort boom in the 1990s on the Strip. The Mirage has 3,044 hotel rooms. It is located on the Las Vegas Strip between the Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Treasure Island Las Vegas. Hard Rock International took over The Mirage operation and will rebrand it as Hard Rock Las Vegas with construction starting to be determine. The Mirage is home to attractions like The Volcano and The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil and Shim Lim: LIMITLESS. It features restaurants like Tom Coliccio's Heritage Steak and Osteria Costa. The Volcano will eventually be replace by a guitar when the property rebrand into The Hard Rock Las Vegas.
