A boson star is a hypothetical astronomical object that is formed out of particles called bosons force carrier particles but also consist of Helium-4 nuclei, which are bosons.
Examples of bosons are fundamental particles such as photons, gluons, and W and Z bosons (the four force-carrying gauge bosons of the Standard Model), the recently discovered Higgs boson.
For this type of star to exist, there must be a stable type of boson with self-repulsive interaction; one possible candidate particle is hypothetical "axion" candidate for the dark matter. Boson stars may have formed through gravitational collapse during the primordial stages of the Big Bang.
It is theorized that unlike normal stars (which emit radiation due to gravitational pressure and nuclear fusion), boson stars would be transparent and invisible. Like a black hole, a boson star would absorb ordinary matter from its surroundings, but the transparency means this matter (which likely would heat up and emit radiation) would be visible at its center .

Preon stars would be extremely tiny, ranging in size somewhere between a pea and a football Packed in that tiny area would be the mass of the Moon much denser than neutron stars .

Planck star is a hypothetical astronomical object, theorized as a compact, exotic star, that exists within a black hole's event horizon, that is created when the energy density of a collapsing star reaches the Planck energy density. The quick
repulsion arises from the heisenberg uncertainty principle . This repulsive energy is strong enough to stop the collapse of the star to become a singularity . if Planck star exist, it would be small compared to an atom but larger than the planck length .

A quasi-star is a hypothetical type of extremely massive and luminous star that may have existed early in the history of the Universe. Unlike modern stars, which are powered by nuclear fusion in their cores, a quasi-star's energy would come from material falling into a black hole at its core.
