One of my favorite tracks of Shovel Knight and a rather difficult piece to transcribe due to the limitations inherent in Mario Paint.
With seven independent voices, needless to say I would never have considered working on it on MPC v.2.0...
In my opinion, Giant Mario Paint has been a game-changer for this kind of music.

The song itself features pitch-bend notes, appogiatura, echo effects, vibrato, six voices counterpoints, simultaneous fade-in and fade-out, 3 vs 4 time signature, dissonant sections, super-fast patterns that play at a rate of 60 notes per second...
Working by ear, I was lucky to find the OST in .nsf format which allows you to isolate the voices (to hear them more clearly).
This work would not have been possible for me from a standard audio file because the percussion is too present and obscures the other parts of the music.
