Here we go again with another military PCS move and the harsh reality of being an active duty / active guard reserve family strikes again. As part of the active duty force, we relocate fairly often, usually 3-4 years at a time with limited locations to PCS (Permanent Change of Station) to. Though it is always exciting to seek new adventure and territory for us, it is still one of the most difficult things we all have to endure (adults, children and even pets). Saying goodbye is never easy after planting roots, making great friends and getting comfortable with life just to be uprooted and sent to a location due to a Military PCS where you have to start all over with no friends, family or home.

This video is completely different than what we normally film, but as part of our life with TravelBattles, we thought it would be important to capture and share with you all. We were hesitant to even film this as it can be very emotional, personal and a stressful process to even want to share. In a strange way, it felt great to capture these events as it made it feel like we were not alone in the process. We tried to capture the true reality of a military PCS move and how we prepare and handle things, for the 5th time! As you make your way through the video, you will see nothing ever goes as planned 100% of the time and life throws plenty of curve balls *ahem, weather*.

This will be a 2 part series where part one will capture the process of packing and preparing to leave, while part 2 captures the actual travel, experience, and arrival to the end destination. We also wanted to showcase that you can in fact have a full time career, pursue other goals and enjoy life with family and friends.

This will be the last video we film in Texas, for now, and future videos from here on out will focus heavily on what California has to offer, sprinkled with some Florida love... and maybe some Texas love too, you never know. Life is just weird like that!
