High Speed Trolling for Wahoo: Day 2 of the Tournament

In this video we fish our 2nd day of the Northeast Florida Wahoo Shootout. We start off trolling ballyhoo but we didn't start catching fish till we switched to high-speeding.... and got rid of the banana! After that we caught a Barracuda and two Wahoo!

High speed trolling for Wahoo, also called Ono, involves trolling anywhere from 12 to 20 kts! We were trolling at 15 mph pulling big artificial lures at 15 to 16 mph. We were using two bent butt fishing rods with 48 ounce weights on the flatline and two 50 wide reels with smaller weights on the tag line.
