Nainital is the most accessible hill station in North India. It is 325 km from Delhi. Private taxis, shared taxis and overnight buses are easily available from Delhi to Nainital. The nearest railway station is Kathgodam, 35km away. Taxis and buses are available from Kathgodam to Nainital.
The nearest convenient airport to travel to Nainital is the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
Alternatively, travel to Pantnagar Airport or Bareilly Airport by flight from Delhi Airport. Hire a taxi or bus from Pantnagar or Bareilly to Nainital.

⚫ Nainital Lake -
Situated in the centre of Nainital, Naini Lake (short for Nainital Lake) is a beautiful natural fresh body lake. The lake is in crescent or kidney shape and is one of the most famous lakes of the Kumaon region. Bounded by Naini Peak on North West, Tiffin Point on the South West and snow-capped peaks on the north, the Nainital Lake offers a breathtaking view, especially during early morning and sunset. It is most famous for boating, picnic and evening walk.

⚫ Bhimtal Lake -
Bhimtal Lake, one of the most famous lakes in India, is located in the Bhimtal town of the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. An island at the centre of the Lake is a famous tourist attraction and also houses an aquarium with a variety of fish species and a temple. In the Kumaon region, which is also known as the Lake district of India, the Bhimtal lake is the largest lake and supplies drinking water to the town and supports aquaculture in the region.

⚫ Naukuchiatal -
Naukuchiatal, a small picturesque lake village is a destination for those who seek quietude and tranquility beneath the shade of pure nature. As the name of the place suggests, this place is mainly known for its nine cornered lake which measures up to 1 km in length and 40 m deep.
Lying at some distance from hill station of Nainital.

⚫ Sattal -
A group of seven fresh water lakes, a stash of nature's bounty and loads of migratory birds and panoramic vistas make this wonderful place called Sattal. Situated in Kumaon Region at an elevation of 1370 m above the sea level, the area boasts of its cluster of seven interconnected lakes namely: Panna, Naldaymanti Tal, Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Bharat and Sukha Tal flanked by lush green cover of oaks and pines. With pleasant weather throughout the year, a visit to this destination away from the noise of cities is an experience not to be missed.

⚫ Garud Tal -
Nestled in the majestic Himalayan foothills of the Kumaon region, Garud Tal is one of the less explored gems in the Sattal cluster of lakes, located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. This tranquil spot has a spellbinding aura that captivates nature lovers, bird watchers, and peace seekers alike.

⚫ Nal Damyanti Tal -
Nal Damyanti Tal is a small natural lake which is situated at a distance of 2 km from Bhimtal. It contains shallow waters and is a perfect spot for enjoying the natural beauty around. You can also go on a nature walk and admire the fascinating surroundings of the place. Though the trek route for reaching the place is tattered, the amazing scenery around will make up for it.

⚫ Khurpatal Lake -
Khurpatal Lake is trowel-shaped water body hence named Khurpatal in the local language. A 'khurpa' is a hindi word for a digging tool used in gardening. The color is emerald which looks heavenly and offers the best pictures. A visit to Khurpatal lake is a must for people who seek peace and beauty away from the fast city life of Nainital. It is one of the most beautiful destinations under Nainital Tourism, shadowed under hefty mountains and beautiful tall trees.

⚫ Sariya Tal -
Located 9km from Nainital, Sariyatal, also spelt as Sarita Tal, is a lake constructed as a tourist spot. The tiny lake has numerous activities like paddle boating and water sports. It is also popular for the Himalayan botanical garden which is a research centre other than being a herbarium and a butterfly park. Hiding a waterfall at the corner, Sariyatal is an ideal spot for solitude seekers, nature lovers and photographers.
