Sunday, September 18th, ReneMarie Stroke of Luck Show broadcasting together with Village Connection Network/Rockstar Studios via Zoom on FaceBook Live will feature three returning guests, JoAnn Glim, Bob Barth, and Marlon Zapanta discussing prior symptoms of stroke experienced vs no systems before stroke occurred and education of public to become more aware.
JoAnn Glim, Stroke Survivor, Author, "Trapped Within" encourages other stroke survivors, families and caregivers and understanding to medical professionals, what it feels like to be trapped within your own body.
Bob Barth, Survived a hemorrhagic stroke (brain bleed) and was completely paralyzed on the right side of his body when he had a sudden stroke getting dressed for work, and his condition contributing factors were being very much overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, high stressed job and being a heavy smoker. Bob will discuss his experiences with physical, and occupational therapy and the support received from his wife Sharon, and his family who played an inspiring role throughout his recovery.
Both JoAnn and Bob strive to bring awareness to potential stroke patients and provide hope and inspiration to stroke warriors through Facebook groups, particularly, "Don't Count Me Out" stroke groups.
Marlon Zapata, B.S. PHE, ADC, CDP is a new member of the ReneMarie Language of Love Foundation Board, and a Life Enrichment Director with CareOne and is responsible for planning, developing, managing implementing, directing and evaluating the resident program activities, special events with the community. Marlon is nationally certified as an Activity Director from the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals. He is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. His previous background includes enhancing and encouraging health wellness and awareness related to chronic diseases, injury and violence, mental/behavioral health, substance abuse, nutritional, physical activity and much more. Marlon brings to this discussion education of the general public to conditions/treatments and education in awareness and healing.
