Dutch farming compilation 2023 | Planting, drilling, fertilising, chopping & more

The year is almost over and what a freak farming year it has been. In the Netherlands it started out very wet followed by a long dry period. The start of summer was once again wet followed by more drought. It then started raining early October and never really stopped since. How has your season been?

Part 1 focuses on the start of the farming season between half February and the end of May. First grass pastures are fertilised with cow slurry and arable fields follow. Then the drilling and planting season begins which means an awful lot of potatoes have to go in the ground. We finish with the first cut of grass silage being taken care of.
