This trick is something that has helped me really optimize my basketball shooting release. Both shooters all get phenomenal rotation on their jump shots. When it comes to using the nickel it's important to establish what type of shooter you are because when we talk about your guide hand one of the most common mistakes in shooting is "thumbing" the ball when you shoot. By using the nickel to keep your thumb tucked this will automatically help you shoot the ball straighter eliminating the thumb flick on your shot.
