Oklahoma City just made a major move that most homeowners haven’t noticed yet.

Backyard homes — also called ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units) — are now legal by right in large parts of OKC’s urban core. That means homeowners may be able to build a small second home in their backyard without rezoning drama.
