For the first time since taking oath of office as Senegal's fifth President on April 2nd 2024, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye stepped out with the woman that we can now call the official first lady of Senegal, on May 18th 2024.

The 44 year old leader, who is just as polygamous as Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko has two wives, and after months of speculations on whom between Marie Khone Faayi and Absa Faayi occupies the Presidential palace, it is slowly emerging that Absa Faayi is the one who is much more closer to him.

This became evident on that Saturday of May 18th, when the youthful leader visited the Popenguine of Dakar where he met Dakar's Catholic clergy, and later made an impromptu visit to the 24th edition of the Dakar International Fair of Agriculture and Animal Resources.
