🌲✨ Hike #32 – Sunday Gulch Trail, Custer SD ✨🌲

For Hike #32, we explored the Sunday Gulch Trail in Custer, SD. This was an evening adventure, starting around 7 PM. In hindsight, it might not have been the best timing since it was getting pretty dark by the time we wrapped up the 4.1-mile loop—but it sure made for a memorable hike!

The trail begins by the lake before quickly descending a steep, rocky incline. Thankfully, sturdy handrails are installed to help guide you down—definitely a welcome feature. From there, the path winds along a creek through a quiet forest of trees.

Eventually, the climb brings you back up to stunning views at the top, and for us, that meant catching a breathtaking sunset over the hills. We had to pick up the pace on the way out to beat the darkness, but the hike ended beautifully with moonlight shimmering across the lake.

A challenging but unforgettable evening outdoors together. 🌲🌙✨
