How Much Can You Make Running Under Your Own Authority in 2023? January Numbers and the $30K Repairs

There are no payroll numbers here because I want to show how much you can make running under your own authority.

January was not a bad month in general, we found a strategy that works. Stay in the midwest, run short 1-2 day loads, ensure you are making at least $1000 a day. It works. The diesel prices are lowest in the midwest and the load rates are the best. But January did come with its own set of problems, for example the almost $30K repairs we had to do on one of our trucks.
