Competence Matters: Find your Superpowers for Interviews

If you are looking for a new role, you may be asked about your strengths. We all have things we enjoy doing and things we are really good at - when the two are the same thing, that’s a strength.

But when does that become one of your superpowers - something that you should own, stand by and even be recognised for? I mean, we’ve all met people who say they’re great at something - but then when we see them actually deliver, they leave a lot to be desired. The truth is enthusiasm alone can’t make up for lack of skill and so to that point, there are 4 different criteria before you own something as a strength, competency or certainly as a true superpower. So grab a piece of paper and a pencil as we’re about to identify which superpowers you can most easily talk about in any interviews, appraisals or even promotion discussions.
