Coming from another DAW someone new to DP just asked the question: "looking for a quick way to place the play cursor in the workspace without having to constantly go back to the timeline at the top of the screen."

There are many ways to speed up your process in Digital Performer. One way to do this is using control + spacebar.

This way you can click on a soundbite and DP will move the wiper to the beginning of the soundbite and start playing. Or make a selection - hold control and press the spacebar.
