McCall Point Trail is a approximately 3.5-mile (5.6 km) out-and-back trail located in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. It offers stunning views of the river and surrounding landscape. The trail is known for its vibrant wildflowers, especially during the spring months, and its unique bentwood bridges. While the trail can be challenging in some areas, the rewards of breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the gorge make it a popular destination for hikers of all levels.
The best time to visit McCall Point Trail to see the wildflowers in full bloom is typically April to May. This is when the balsamroot, Columbia Gorge lupine, and harsh paintbrush are at their peak.

Roman Khomlyak, a filmmaker, and his hiking companion, Misha, embarked on a wildflower-filled adventure in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge. Their May 2024 journey along the McCall Point Trail was cut short by rain, but not before they witnessed the vibrant blooms of balsamroot, lupine, and harsh paintbrush. They also encountered peculiar bentwood trees along the trail. As the day drew to a close, they were rewarded with a breathtaking sunset.

To capture the beauty of the landscape, Khomlyak used a Sigma FP L camera, paired with a variety of Canon EF lenses, including a Canon EF 16-35mm F/4L IS USM, Canon Ef 24-105mm F/4L IS USM, Meyer Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100/2.8, AUTO-TAKUMAR 35MM F2.3, HELIOS 44-2 58MM F2, Sigma MC-21, and Fotodiox Pro Fusion Smart AF adapter.
