Emraan Hashmi, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chehre release date postponed

The makers of Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Chehre'  have issued a statement, confirming the postponement of the release date of the thriller film. The film was scheduled to be released on 9th April.

Actor Emraan Hashmi dropping the statement wrote,

“The well-being of our very own audience is of utmost importance to us.  We are extremely humbled by the love and support that we have received this far. See you in the cinemas soon. Until then, stay safe! - Team #Chehre...”


The statement read:

“Due to the rising case of Covid-19 and new guidelines for cinemas, we are unable to release our movie Chehre on 9th April and decided to postpone until further notice. We have received an overwhelming response on our trailer and we are grateful for the love and support.

“We have decided to bring Chehre to audiences theatrically when the environment is more conducive for the experience. See you in cinema very soon, until then stay safe and healthy. Cover your Chehre with a mask and don’t forget to use sanitizer”  

Amitabh plays a criminal lawyer, who conducts a mock trial with friends in a cottage up on a snow-clad hill. Emraan Hashmi is given the role of the criminal. But soon, lines between reality and the game blurs as skeletons start stumbling out of the closet. Actress Rhea Chakraborty is also part of the cast and makes her appearance in the trailer in one blink-and-you-miss shot with Emraan.

The film has been helmed by Rumy Jafry and produced by Anand Pandit. 'Chehre' also features Siddhanth Kapoor, Krystle Dsouza, Raghubir Yadav and Annu Kapoor.
