Commando (1985) is an action film directed by Mark L. Lester and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as John Matrix, a retired Special Forces colonel living quietly in the mountains with his daughter Jenny. When a group of mercenaries kidnaps Jenny to force Matrix into carrying out an assassination for a deposed dictator, Matrix instead launches a one-man rescue mission. Using his military training, firepower, and sheer physical strength, he fights his way through an army of soldiers to reach the men responsible and save his daughter.
The film explores themes of vengeance, loyalty, parenthood, and the unstoppable force of a determined hero. Matrix’s mission is relentless and personal, turning airports, car chases, and suburban streets into battlegrounds.
