Due to a lingering curse that prevents our Loremaster from resting properly, he regularly takes levels of exhaustion and the underlying penalties associated with such.
Thus, we are burning some edge and doing a re-roll to help shore up the deficiencies present in the previous version of the Totems & Mentor spirits video for 5th Edition Shadowrun.

Whatever means a mana user has for utilizing their power, either projecting it outwards as Magicians and Shamans, or focusing that power inwards as Adepts do, they need to LEARN those powers to begin with.
While having a more experienced magic user to teach you is always viable, many turn towards much older, more potent mentors in the forms of various totems and spirits.
