In this case study video, we showcase the office design and refurbishment of Furley Page Solicitors’ new Canterbury office at Logan House, Kent — delivered by JBH Refurbishments.
As Furley Page celebrates an incredible 300 years in practice, the firm took the opportunity to create a modern, collaborative workspace that reflects both its heritage and its future ambitions.
📍 Project Details
Client: Furley Page Solicitors
Location: Logan House, Canterbury, Kent
Project: Office interior refurbishment & fit out
Size: 6,500 sq ft
The Brief
Furley Page’s former Canterbury office was spread across a traditional Edwardian building, with teams working across disconnected floors. While centrally located, the fragmented layout limited collaboration and accessibility between departments.
The move to Logan House provided an opportunity to create a cohesive, future-proof office, delivering a relaxed, London-style workspace while maintaining the privacy required in a busy legal practice.
Design, Tender & Delivery
Following a competitive tender and design presentation to Furley Page’s nine partners, JBH Refurbishments were appointed, with feedback stating:
“There really is nothing we would change.”
The project was delivered under a JCT Minor Works contract, with an independent Contract Administrator appointed by the client and bi-weekly site meetings held throughout.
Despite an originally proposed 10-week programme, the works were successfully delivered in just 8 weeks, through detailed planning, coordination of trades, and close collaboration with the client.
The Fit Out
The project included a full strip-out and redesign across the ground and first floors, delivering:
✔️ Open-plan office areas with subtle zoning
✔️ Crittall-glazed meeting rooms and private offices
✔️ Acoustic soundproof booths and collaboration pods
✔️ Professional yet welcoming client spaces
✔️ Dedicated cloakrooms with individual lockers
✔️ A fully fitted kitchen and breakout area
✔️ Scandinavian-inspired design features and branded finishes
All works were completed with minimal disruption to other tenants in the building.
The Result
The completed office provides Furley Page with a modern, light-filled, and collaborative workspace, supporting staff wellbeing, productivity, and client experience - a fitting way to mark the firm’s 300-year milestone.
