Narendra Modi-led BJP government is set to present its first Economic Survey and Union Budget after re-election in the recently concluded 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The economic survey is presented a day before the Union Budget, the survey is an outlook of developments in the economy. It is a three-part document. While the first one gives an overview and opinion of the CEA on key issues and solutions pertaining to the economy, the second part contains key data from various departments and ministries. This data is a reflection of the present state of the Indian economy.

Chief Economic Adviser KV Subramanian will table the new Narendra Modi-led NDA government's first Economic Survey in Parliament -- both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha -- today. The survey presented by Subramanian will be a reflection of the present state of the Indian economy. It will highlight the developments on key topics including economy, agriculture, employment, industry, exports, infrastructure and human development for the past 12 months. Meanwhile, the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre will table the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Parliament today.

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will move the bill to amend the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016. The Bill, which will be in the form of an amendment to Aadhaar Act 2016 and other laws will replace an ordinance issued in March, 2019.
