This video basically presents the utility of the snifits and brings forth how you can take advantage of the runaway cruisers. By default, the Runaway Cruisers will function as a simple "everyone go back to this space if you're in this area", but the Snifit Patrol will drive the players back even further if they are on duty.
I will be honest. I got this confused as well since I first thought the snifit cruiser would stop the runaway cruiser from chasing the players.
Anyways, the Snifits actually position the players in the range of the Bowser Coin Beam if they are chased. And anyone hit by that coin beam will lose all of their coins.
