The Husky Marching Band returned to central Washington on Sunday to say thank you to the Grant County community after a bus crash there last Thanksgiving.
Hundreds of people filled the Quincy High School gymnasium for an hour-long thank you event that included heartfelt speeches, band performances and culminated with a community cookout.
One of the Husky Marching Band and Sprit Squad buses rolled off Interstate 90 near the small town of George on the way to Pullman for the Apple Cup in November 2018. Injured students filled local hospitals and a warming shelter was improvised at the George Elementary School.
