The Anointing Prayer –
This is a daily prayer I pray over myself using plain Extra Virgin Olive Oil (NO added fragrances or oils) that I have prayed over. I pray this with an earnest heart posture presenting myself as a willing vessel to the Lord seeking to allow Him to lead me, mold me, and use me for His will for His glory.

"Heavenly Father,

I anoint myself today as a willing vessel for Your will and Your glory.
Please give me the mind of Christ. (I anoint my forehead.)
May I have eyes that see the world as You do. (I lightly anoint my eyelids*)
And ears that are always open for Your instruction. (I anoint my earlobes.)
Increase my discernment, Lord. (I anoint my nose and cheeks.)
Help me to control my tongue. May only Your words pass my lips. (I anoint my mouth, lips, and chin.)
Direct my focus, Lord. (I anoint my neck.)
And may my hands do the work of Your will. (I anoint my hands.)

In Jesus’ name, Amen."

*DO NOT do this with any olive oil that is not pure or that has any additives! Take care not to get the oil in your eyes. EVOO is generally considered safe, but please use your own judgment when anointing this sensitive area of your skin and research any risks before doing so.
