The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, just off the southern tip of Manhattan Island, New York City.

In her left hand, The Statue of Liberty holds a tablet that represents the law and has July 4, 1776 — the date that the declaration of independence was signed — inscribed on it in Roman numerals.
