This series brings ambassadors from around the world to Springfield. Each dignitary makes a lunch presentation and a spirited question-and-answer period follows.

Ambassadors come to Springfield for the opportunity of speaking with Springfields business and community leaders. During their presentations, the ambassadors will share business, economic, and political insights.

The speaker, Renee Jones-Bos, ambassador of the Netherlands to the United States has occupied this appointment since 2008. The Ambassador joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 and until 2008 served in the following positions. Head of Recruitment and Training, Security Council Coordinator, Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights and Deputy Director-General for Regional Policy and Consular Affairs.
