EP5 | LALISH – UNESCO YAZIDI TEMPLE | 6 DAYS IN $54

Описание к видео EP5 | LALISH – UNESCO YAZIDI TEMPLE | 6 DAYS IN $54

#71🌍 | In EP5. I hitch-hiked from Duhok to Lalish to Erbil. In Lalish I visited the Lalish UNESCO World Heritage Site, 'The Holiest Temple of the Yazidi Religion'.

This video series sets out [1] to document my day-to-day activities and show you the fascinating semi-autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, and [2] to document how I travel on a tight budget by MINIMIZING THE x3 MAIN COSTS INCURRED BY TRAVEL 💸.
1. TRANSPORT
2. ACCOMMODATION
3. FOOD
... using simple techniques, such as hitch-hiking, using local/public transport, COUCHSURFING, Sharing Hotel Rooms, and having Picnics with the locals.

$54 BUDGET – Excluding flights, this trip cost me a total of $54 USD ($254 USD INC. FLIGHTS). *This would not have been possible without the enormous generosity of the locals (Thank You!). That being said, I'm all for contributing to local economies, but if you want to travel Far & Frequently and your wallet is your limit, then some of these Tricks & Tips may be of benefit.

FEEDBACK IS WELCOMED – This is my 1st attempt at creating a 'Travel Video Series'. I'm still getting my head around the process of filming, editing, and story-telling. I have no formal training so tips are welcome. I would like to continue developing this interest in the hope to make increasingly interesting and informative videos/short documentaries.
