These wall sculptures near the Sree Naryana Guru statue at Thiruvanthapuram city, will tell the story of the Viswa Guru, from his birth to the mahasamadhi.
Leading sculptor Unni Kanai is giving final touches to the wall sculptures. The bronze-plated wall sculptures in fiberglass is six feet long and four feet wide.
The 264-square-foot sculpture, was first finished in clay, moulded into plaster of Paris and then transferred to fibre glass.
It took eight months to complete the wall sculpture. Guru`s life cycle including his childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age are recorded beautifully on the walls. There are also various other wall sculptures of the historically famous mirror idol and the Aruvikkara idol.

Apart from his fight against injustice and superstitions, these sculptures also speak about Guru`s fight against child marriage and human sacrifice. Also the beautiful sculptures of Mahatma Gandhi and Tagore visiting Guru make the place more historically significant. The moments of his meeting with Chattambiswamy and the Guru's visit to Sri Lanka are also captured in the sculptures here.

Shaijith, Ramesan, Tinu, Rajeevan, Pranav, Anurag, Abhijith and Mithun are there to help Unni.

The progress in the sculpture design was assessed recently by A K Balan, Minister of Culture, Rani George, Secretary, Department of Culture and T R Sadasivan Nair, Director, Department of Culture.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had unveiled the bronze sculpture of Sree Narayana Guru last month. The wall sculptures will be soon installed at the Gurudeva park in Thiruvanthapuram.
