Kawai K500 AURES Upright Piano – Main Features and Demonstration

In this video, Colin – Sales Manager here at Richard Lawson Pianos – takes you through all of the main features of Kawai’s K500 AURES piano. By using the soundboard of the instrument as an amplifier, this piano gives you full volume control without the need for headphones. With the aid of four transducers attached to the soundboard, it plays a Shigeru Kawai Concert Grand sample (and any other voice or instrument you could hope for) and, with the addition of sympathetic string resonance, results in a highly natural and resonant digital sound that is genuinely comparable to the piano’s normal acoustic sound. Colin will show you how this works, as well as guiding you through this model’s other available features, such as recording functionality, changing and layering different voices, and making more in-depth changes to the sound and behaviour of the sound in AURES mode.
