1930s Car Roof Fabric Installation/Removal (1934 Hudson) Part 2

Описание к видео 1930s Car Roof Fabric Installation/Removal (1934 Hudson) Part 2

Part 2 in this series I removed the roof trim or “tacking strip”. I used a tack lifter I purchased from Walmart for $3, and modified it with a Dremel to fit the channel. Cleaning out the old sealant, I used a pry bar to CAREFULLY lift up on the strip, allowing the tack heads to lift up high enough to get clearance to be grabbed by the tool. Repeat ad nauseum. Part 3 will be removing the next tacked layer which is the cloth and padding, and cleaning up/prepping for installation of new material.
